We had a visitor distract us during school today ...
This morning Jankie and Gladys were walking into the house and she spotted something on the top of one of our camping chairs leaning against the wall on the porch. I went to see what she found and discovered a crab! It must have found his way from the dam (pond) at the end of our block on Saturday during the heavy rains we had all day. I guess he found a warm place to stay.
We watched him walk around for a little bit and got a stick and played with him before taking him back to the dam.
What an exciting recess and hopefully interesting science lesson! Crabs and hippos--what else is in that little pond down the road? You shouldn't antagonize a crab that's afraid, Mark. It could lead to a shocking and possibly painful experience! Loved the video! Love you guys so much! Mom and Dad
