Today was the missions 6th Annual Golf Day. It was a great day:
- beautiful weather
- fun,
- fellowship, and
-great food
Here are a few photos from the day. Be sure to also check out the
mission Facebook page for more pictures.
Gena
usually works the 9th hole and takes R10 for those who want to try to
hit the ball in the circle on the green. Since she is in the States, I
got to cover her job this year. Mark sat by the green and watched the
balls come. We had our two-way radios to communicate back and forth.
Most of the players tried it and two guys actually made it in the
circle. They won R50. Mark and I had fun doing that. (Never got a
picture of Mark watching the circle. ) I would tell him when a ball was
coming and he would let me know rather it made it or not. Some of the
funniest moments were the time he would say "that one almost hit me" or
"I never saw that ball". When he said that one made it in, the guy did
the happy dance. I was a little nervous about doing this since I know
NOTHING about golf but it turned out to be fun. Don't worry Gena, your
job is still yours next year!

We had a great day today. The Golf Day is a fun way
to raise funds for the mission. It is great to see so many people
support and encourage the work done in and through the mission. Looking
forward to next year.

it truly is amazing to see all that God is doing in and through each of you. Then you look around at the beauty of the land where you are and see God's handiwork. Great pictures! Where is the golf day held? That is a beautiful place. It looked like quite a hike to the first tee! Noah and Luke are quite the explorers! Brit looks like she was keeping the half way tent with cool drinks in order. I love reading about and seeing the pictures of all you are doing. Well, Luke finally made it! He is definitely taller than you, Alicia. Both of our grandchildren are growing up so fast. It seems only yesterday that we were holding them in our arms. We are so blessed to know that our children love the Lord. God has us all in different places spreadiing His love and His gift of salvation. You are indeed a family on a mission together for God! Keep moving forward. Love you all very much.
