The guys were busy with the SAMIL today

Mark went to the mission farm today to work with Doug, William and Brad on the SAMIL.  There was a leak in the long range fuel tank that needed to be repaired so that 1) it will pass the road worthy test and 2) we don't waste fuel.  Here are a few pictures from today and be sure to click here to see lots more photos on the Samaria Mission Facebook page.

that will make a wife nervous - glad he came home with all his fingers!
Tomorrow Mark and Brad will head out to the shops to find parts to repair the clutch on our bakkie.  I think they are planning on working on it on Thursday.  They will also pick up some reflector tape and spray paint and then head out to Sean's to meet Doug and finish a few things on the one-ton.

It is a busy week around here for us ... I say week, guess really from now through August we will be non-stop.  Our first outreach is in 8 short weeks!  Next week, Mark, William, Brad and Derrick will head into Mozambique through the Giriyondo border post which is a further away and they say the roads are not so great.  Pafuri Border post still remains closed and they need to check on the churches and try to meet with the Chief of Post to find out what is going on with the food they were expecting to be delivered to the border from the World Food Program.  This will also give the guys an opportunity to meet the officials at the other border.   We are also very excited that William got a call from Masango, one of our Mozambique pastors, last Tuesday while we were all in a meeting.  Masango wanted to let the mission know that he and Amosse have arranged for the normally scheduled training in Dumela to still take place.  Since the mission has been unable to get in to Mozambique for the trainings (due to January floods) they have decided to go ahead and meet this month and review some of the lessons previously taught.  It is exciting to see them take the initiative to meet even though we can't get through the border for trainings right now.

Please join us in praying for their trip next week.
- for safe travels
-for our vehicles as they continue to take a beating on the roads we travel
-for the border crossing
-for the time they will have with different church leaders
-for the Pafuri border to open soon
-for the training in Dumela that Masango and Amosse will lead
