Thanksgiving 2015 (still catching up on posts)

Over the years Thanksgiving has turned into a time where we open our house up and invite people to join us for a time where we can stop and give thanks for all the Lord has done for each one of us.   Here are a few photos showing our day...

The work really started on Wednesday.   We had a lot of help from Luke, Noah, Jay and Stephen. Of course, after working hard on a summer day they were rewarded with a swim and ice cream.

The last few years, some friends of ours from church have offered to make the gammon, pork belly and corned beef.  That has become a great addition to our feast.  Each family that comes brings a side dish to share.  We end up with a good blend of American and South African side dishes.  (side note ... the REALLY nice pictures were taken by our friend, Charles Stander!)

This has been a year of many firsts and with that came our first Thanksgiving without Brit.  We did the next best thing and FaceTimed her.
