Kirt and Quinn Came for a Visit

Our Pastor, Kirt Dauphin, from PaulAnn (our sending church in San Angelo) came for a visit along with another friend/pastor, Quinn Banister.   They were scheduled to join Samaria Mission for a conference in Zimbabwe and our annual Pastors Conference in Mozambique.  They arrived in South Africa on October 27th (while we were still in Texas) and after three hours of sleep they headed into Zimbabwe.  

They spent the last week of October in Zimbabwe for a Pastors Conference and then headed to Mbuzi, Mozambique for the first week of November (where we joined them).  Our theme for the conferences was "Follow Me". Our staff, along with Kirt and Quinn,  taught topical lessons from the Bible on what it means to be a true disciple of Christ.  The teaching was well received by the Pastors as they learned new truths about Christ's example as he discipled His apostles.

The conference in Zimbabwe was held in Chikombedzi with church leaders from the surrounding areas joining.   There were around 50 people in attendance.   It was a good conference with great teaching and a great response to the teaching.

We returned home from our trip to the States on October 30th and then on November 2nd we traveled to Mozambique and met Kirt, Quinn and the rest of staff in Mbuzi for the Mozambique Conference.    We had over 60 people who attended this conference.   We enjoyed all being together as we studied God's Word and we were thankful for cooler temperatures that came later in the week.   It was a blessing to us, as well as Brad (who is also from PaulAnn), to spend this time with Kirt and Quinn.  We loved watching them enjoy what we have moved here to do!

2015 Mozambique Pastors Conference

After the conference, Kirt and Quinn spent the weekend with us in Polokwane.  Sunday after church they were able to take a bike ride through our local Game Reserve and enjoyed a braai at the picnic spot with our whole staff.  The next day we were able to and enjoy a nice stay at a Big 5 Game Reserve.  Brad took Jay and Noah and we took Luke with us.  We all enjoyed out time together before they returned to the States the next day.
