Mark started off by asking them if they remember what their homework from last week was. They all said they did and when he asked them where to find the Lord's prayer they quickly answered, "Luke 11:1-4" Mark had them turn there and read it in English and in Sepedi. Then he asked them where else it is located and they were shocked that it was in another place as well. Mark told them to turn to Matthew 6: 9-13. He actually had them started reading from verse 5 - 15.
After reading it again, Mark started to ask them questions about what we had read and he quickly realized that plan B was about to take place. Instead of moving ahead in the lessons we have been working through, he decided to study the Lord's Prayer and help them to break it down and see what each part means. It was a great night of discussing and learning. When he got to the part about forgiving our trespasses ... Mark asked them if they knew what that meant. Jankie said it means sin. Mark then asked them to turn to the Ten Commandments. Jankie's wife Gladys knew where they were located and was already there before Mark mentioned where to go. It seemed that the others were not familiar with them. When we were taking Meriam home afterwards, she told us she was going to read the Ten Commandments nicely over the weekend. (meaning she would read it slower and really look at them).
After Mark finished teaching, Theresia went in the other room and came back with a bowl of muffins. She had made them earlier today to share with everyone. They were really nice.

I do have a video I would really like to put on here but it will have to be another day.... it is late here and the video doesn't want to upload. Maybe it will work tomorrow.
These are the things they are asking for prayer for ...
- peace
-for people to come to know Jesus
-for those who are sick
