Well here is the latest ... We are within $1,000.00 of being fully funded for the trip the summer. Praise God! We only have 51 days to finish all that needs to be done before we leave. So much to be done.
This weekend we are going to have our first of many garage sales we will have as we prepare to move into Full Time Missions. I had to go today to place the ad and I was asking God what I should put in the add to "draw" people. You know the usual toys to furniture etc. I felt like I should put "Family preparing for Full Time Missions" Garage Sale. I also had to place 2 other adds as we are selling our Toyota and our Expedition. Anyway, I handed my 3 ads to the lady at the Thrifty Nickel and she started counting words in the garage sale ad and then she said, "Oh, I am not going to charge you for this add. This is a great thing and you can use all the money to go towards that and not the ad." Needless to say I was amazed. God continues to tell us to "keep walking".
Side note about our blog. If you are reading this and you would like to leave a "comment" for us it is easy to do. At the bottom of each entry you will see the "comment" section. Just click on it and start typing. We would love to hear from you.
When Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Overnight Retreat
We had a great time this past weekend at our "Overnight Training" for our Mozambique Team. We arrived around 6:00 pm to the State Park in Junction, Texas. David and Jackie were there to meet us. (It brought back memories of when we arrived a the base camp in Mozambique. We hadn't seen David and Jackie in 2 1/2 months and she meet us each with a hug as we got out of the van.) She made a sign to welcome us to "Camp Mozambique." We all unloaded and set up tents. We had burgers and hot dogs for dinner.
After dinner, we sat around and had a time to share with each other. It was a sweet time for us to share our fears, worries and struggles. After each team member shared we took the time to pray for them.
On Saturday morning we got up and had a great breakfast and then spent the next several hours in training. We went over the curriculum and talked about many other things that will take place on our outreach. Brad and Jill had each team member tell what they feel their strengths and weaknesses are. We were reminded that when we are weak, God is strong. It will be neat to see how God will use each one of us as we serve together in our strengths and weaknesses.
God is so GOOD! He allowed us time to carve out of our busy schedules to come together as a team. He has put each one of us together for His specific outreach. We are looking forward to seeing what God has planned for our team and the people of Mozambique.

The Garage Sale Update
Well we had the team garage sale at the House of Faith Building last weekend. We had everything completely set up and ready to go around 6:00 pm on Thursday. This turned out to be a good location for us. We were able to have everything inside and our kids were completely entertained with all the video games and toys. We had the sale on Friday and Saturday and we raised a little over $3,000.00 which gave the team members $230.00 each. Mark and I are getting closer to being fully funded for the mission trip this summer. Praise God!
This weekend we will be going on our overnight training with the team. This year will be a camping trip. I think it will be a great time to plan, train and just build unity among our team. We will continue to update you as we get closer.
