Well it is 3:30 am and we are getting ready. I guess one nice thing about an 18 hour flight from New York to JoBurg, SA is that we can catch up on some sleep!
We are asking you to continue to pray for the people in Mozambique. We also ask that you pray for us as we travel. Today there will be 11 of us traveling from San Angelo. Logan is already there. Chuck & Debbie and David & Jackie went a week early to have a vacation in London and they are flying today as well from there. We have I think 25 bags to check that are at the max limit of 50 lbs each. We are praying that all of our luggage will make our flight out of San Angelo and continue with us all the way to JoBurg. Each year in the past they have all arrived. Our checked bags have personal stuff but also ALL of our ministry supplies are in there.
We will arrive at the village we will be staying in late Monday night. All travel until then (airplane and car). There is a 7 hour time difference. (they are ahead).
Well try to update as soon as we can. Thank you again for standing in the gap. We are excited to see what God has in store for us and the people of Mozambique.
When Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

10:30 pm and we are off to bed!
It has been a long and full day but we are finally getting into bed. We will wake up at 3:00 AM and get ready to go the airport. We will update as soon as we are able to but more than likely it will be around August 2nd. Please continue to pray for our trip.

2 Days To Go
Well, it is Tuesday night and I am just finishing up some last minute packing for the kids, a little laundry and a few last minute details. Tomorrow night we will meet at the church with our 2 bags (each) that we will check so that we can pack the ministry supplies.
Jill found some fun new crafts to do with the women and children during our ministry time. We will focus on the 1st 7 - chapters in Genesis as well as who Jesus is and what He did for them on the cross. After we teach our lesson each day, it is neat to see the children and women so excited to color a paper or glue some foam shapes on a frame or even decorate a votive candle holder. They do not have much at all and for most it is the first time they get to do "crafts".

I want to ask everyone to pray for us and the team members as we prepare to leave on Friday. The enemy is alive and he would like nothing more than to discourage each of us in any way he can. Please pray for our children as well as the other team members children. It is hard to be away from them for so long. We know God has a plan for this team and the people of Mozambique and Satan would like nothing better than to discourage us and cause problems. I can not wait to see the VICTORIES God has in store for us!
We would love to hear from you before we leave. You can leave a "comment" on this page by clicking on the "comment" section at the end of today's post or you can email us through our contact page on our website.
Thank you for all your love, encouragement and support as we continue with the JOURNEY God has our family on.
